Updates: Cassandra's Eye has been updated with Ryan info, as has the music guide.

First, in case you're unaware of this little detail: "Redux was always meant for the second season. We looked at our air schedule last year and saw that we could only get 21 done in time. (WB series typically run 22 episodes per season.) We didn't want to shoot the season two opener at the end of season one because everybody is focusing on their well-deserved hiatus, and we wanted time to work on the story and not only resolve the cliffhangers, but send the fans into season two with some bigger questions. So the decision was made to shoot a stand-alone ep that could be aired early in season two. As a result, 23 episodes will air this year, as we will still shoot a full 22 order." -- Al Gough
This puts us in somewhat of a quandry here at The Talon as to how we are supposed to treat Redux, since it was shot last year and The WB treats it as a S1 ep that comes after Tempest. We have elected to stick with the tried-and-true "order by air date," since it makes the most sense for us viewers (in terms of canon as well, since in the ep Martha reveals her new situation with the Luthors). Get it? Got it? Good.
Updates: A review of Nicodemus has been posted. The music guide has been updated with information from Redux and Lineage. Cassandra's Eye has the latest Lex/Lana info from Lineage, and now also from Redux and Nicodemus.

The image gallery has been updated once more: Seven new images have been added to Lex/Lana images (some really nice shots of Lex, Lana, and Clark together), along with four new desktop wallpapers by Katie. Enjoy tonight's episode! :-)

We're all moved over to our new domain!! AT LONG LAST!! Thanks for bearing with us during this tumultuous time. We shall dine on mead and suckled boar tonight.
Surely during our move, we were able to fill out at least one area of the site, you're thinking. And you would be right! Visit the newly beefed-up image gallery; it's so pretty we can hardly bear to look at it. We're like babies with shiny jewelry in there.
We've also added a couple of new links -- Daydreaming, a fantabulous resource for Kristin Kreuk images, and the Smallville High School Store, where, if the fancy strikes you, you can purchase Smallville High paraphernalia.
Many thanks to Sheena for letting us know that the Lex/Lana scene from last week's preview is new. Yay! Now we have something to look forward to.
Lastly, we've been asked by TWBookmark.com, the official website of Warner Books and Little, Brown and Company, to review a couple of books, based on Smallville, that were recently published. Worth reading or not? We'll let you know what the skinny is, so look for those reviews some time soon.

We're going a little blind ourselves from the Lionel/Martha UST we had to endure tonight, but it was worth it and we have updates for you anyway. As a result of the Lex/Lana scene, we were forced to abuse exclamation points during our chat. Our thoughts on the Lex/Lana portion of Nocturne as well as Red have now been posted to Cassandra's Eye.
The music guide has been updated with the latest from Nocturne.
Last, but not least, we have a question for you guys: During the "preview" for next week, the first scene they showed is one of Lex and Lana walking down a staircase. Lex is holding what appears to be a sheet of paper in his hand and is wearing a sky blue sweater. Does anyone know if this is a clip from a previous episode? It'd be great if it's from a new ep that we can look forward to (and ponder why they decided to include that at all). We honestly have no clue whether it's a new or old clip.

The music guide has been updated with information from Red.

Review of Heat has been posted.
Thursday, October 10, 2002
Okay, clearly we did not do as much updating this summer as we had planned. Our bad. But please rest assured that we have not lost the L/L love. We're in the process of moving to a new domain, and there are A LOT of coding issues that aren't difficult, just time-consuming, that we have to deal with. We'll try to update as much as we can here.
In that spirit, a new review for Vortex is up! Also, Cassandra's Eye and the music guide have been updated.

While we haven't updated as much as we want to -- we haven't forgotten about the site, nor are we any less convinced of the perfection of the Talon ship. <g> However, Moss's job is kicking her in the ass and Crude's busy on other projects. But enough with the excuses -- we're updating now, aren't we?? And a very exciting one it is! Crude has posted the prequel to her story "Sail You Home" -- it's called "Severe Tire Damage" and you can find it in the Fan Fiction section (what a shocker!!) under the heading "Storms of Change." There will also be a sequel to "Sail You Home," which will complete the trilogy. Wheeeeeee!

Eek, it's been a dog's age since we last updated. Our most profuse apologies. I'm afraid we don't have a major update this time either; we just wanted to congratulate Michael Rosenbaum on his Saturn Award for Best Supporting TV Actor. Yay!
But we have definitely not neglected the site; we have every intention of providing all the Lex/Lana info we can and building the site up to what we know will be a shining glory. <g> Until then, we'll just keep plodding along.

Review of Drone now posted!

Smallville DVD -- Pilot Episode: If you weren't already aware of it, the Smallville Pilot episode is available on DVD. According to online sources, the release date is anywhere from June 4 to July 2. In any case, the DVD is real and available for pre-order. You can order it from Amazon for around $19, or you can order it from Total Action Universe for around $13. TAU is based in Canada (where the DVD is being released, so you won't find it in retail stores in the U.S.) and the catch is that sometimes they're a bit slow with their shipping. The DVD features (according to people selling it on eBay -- running around $15): audio commentary by producers Alfred Gough and Miles Millar and Pilot director David Nutter; an interactive map of Smallville; a storyboard-to-screen featurette; a deleted scene w/ commentary; widescreen format w/ Dolby Digital 5.1; Smallville trailer. We're partially irritated that they're trying to make extra money off of us (because no doubt one day the entire series will be available on DVD), at the same time that we're really looking forward to it. As a compromise, we won't say that this DVD is "must have" unless you're impatient like we are -- because everything on it and more will doubtless be offered at some future date with ALL the episodes.

The music guide was updated this afternoon w/ the music from Tempest.
Cassandra's Eye has been updated with information from Tempest, and we've rec'ed a new work of fiction by Christie, called "The Session." Enjoy!

Review of Craving has posted, and Cassandra's Eye updated with information from that episode. We've also added a new affiliate! "Love Stories" features music videos for a variety of shows, including our own dear Smallville. Better yet, the Webmistress is a Talonist -- our favorite video is "Dreaming," but heck, they're all good! There's just too few of them. ; )

Interview w/ Arthur Gough: This is an interview from May 10, but just in case you haven't seen it yet, click here. It's a short interview in the Wanda column, and he has some pretty interesting (if vague) answers. It doesn't look like Gough says it there, but according to Wanda, he will be busy during the summer hiatus -- writing the next Spider-Man movie! (Probably not the sequel, as we think that's already begun shooting, but the next, maybe.) If you enjoyed the first movie as much as we did, AND you're a Smallville fan, this is very, very good news. : )

Interview w/ Michael Rosenbaum: Wheeeee! Here's an interview w/ MR on Watch With Wanda. He answers questions such as: "What do you think about a hookup between Lex and Lana?" (His answer: "I think she's absolutely extraordinarily beautiful and smart and nice. I'm speaking about Kristin Kreuk, here. As for the characters, I don't think Lex would do anything, because it would interfere with his and Clark's friendship. And that's not something he wants. It's not worth it to him." Which is pretty much what we said in our manifesto -- but the day WILL come. Oh yes, it will come.)
Updates: A new review has been posted for Leech! Also, Cassandra's Eye and the music guide have been updated with information from Obscura. Many awesome new affiliates have been added in the past few days -- some faces that should be familiar to you; others may be new. All are worth checking out. In the next week or so, we hope to be posting a really kickass (in our opinion, of course, though we hope you'll agree <g>) episode guide, so watch for it!
A Bit of Fun: Go here to find out who your lover is among the Smallville characters. Wheeee!

Nothing extremely huge, but we're happy to be here at all. Cassandra's Eye and the music guide have been updated with Crush information. It seems there was a slight scare in which it seemed that The Talon had been taken down for violating Angelfire's TOS (though as far as we know, we're not). If that should ever happen, we've got a mirror site at http://thetalon.iwarp.com/, so we'll just keep coming back. : )

We have several extremely exciting ones!!
We've got our manifesto, "The Battle of Troy," posted! We bet you were wondering what the heck that link off to the side was. <g> The manifesto is essentially the reason why we started this site; we wanted to have a place where we could talk about why we believed in Lex/Lana and how it's not simply for shits and giggles, but actually rooted in canon (ioho). And, of course, because we totally dig it. <g> We wanted to be sure we were as comprehensive as possible with it, which is why it's taken us so long. We hope you'll enjoy reading it!
Boy, when it rains, it pours! Our other exciting update is: We've posted a fanfic challenge to the message board! Check it out -- we're hoping many of you will participate. As we're sure you know, there's far too little Lex/Lana fic out there. We're hoping this will get some people writing and also meet some cool new people on the boards!
Last but not least, we have updated Cassandra's Eye and the music guide with information from Drone!
Saturday, April 27, 2002
A new story by Giselle has been posted -- if you feel compelled to send her feedback, we urge you not to ignore those feelings. <g>
Also, two beautiful new butners have been added, as well as a new affiliate!
Wednesday, April 24, 2002
Music guide updated with music information from Stray and Reaper. "Cassandra's Eye" has also been updated for those same episodes.
The thing with the show not being on hiatus is that it's a lot harder to stay up to date! But we're getting there. And we've got some more fan fiction to share soon.
Sunday, April 14, 2002
Added a review of "Hug" as well as some extra buttons from the "Link to Us" page. The message boards are open to anyone who has anything to say! In the next couple of days, we will be posting a fanfic challenge to the boards, and we hope many of you will participate. : )
Saturday, April 13, 2002
Two fan fiction stories added -- hope you enjoy! Also populated the "Recommendations" section with a few stories (for now). We've added a bunch of banners and buttons and butners (you know, in between a banner and button ... we're hoping it'll catch on). A couple of additional manipulations, and we've added a page for affiliates. It's quite busy over here!
Moss will be out of town next week on a business trip, which either means that updates will be slow/nonexistent, or there will be more updates than ever (depending on how bored she gets). Most likely, it will be the former. In the meanwhile, encourage Crude to write the prequel and sequel to "Sail You Home"!
